  • TOTAL SCAMMERS! CNJ was sent out by my home warranty company (American Home Shield) to fix a pipe stoppage. They told me that the pipe couldn't be snaked and that they needed to install a "clean out" for $400+ and that the home warranty company wouldn't cover it. Called home warranty company and they confirmed that they don't cover installing new clean outs. I asked for a second opinion and AHS said it would cost another $75 to send someone else out. I called one of the rooter companies recommended on this site and they came out same day, removed the trap and snaked the pipe in less than 20 minutes. BTW - I also cancelled my AHS policy is these home warranties are worthless since they contract with under qualified contractors at low rates that just want to get into your house and up sell you.
