| - Went to Bar Marco for the first time on Saturday night. The wine is overpriced, though the $10 plate + glass special seems like a decent deal (we didn't try it though). The food is good, though the aioli on the patatas bravas was too think and looked like cheese whiz. The sommelier was super enthusiastic about her job, which was nice. The other service was terrible though. Our server seemed unconcerned that we only had one plate for a table of three, and when we asked for more it took a full minute for her to provide them, even though our table was literally four feet from the bar. She was unable to articulate the difference between the $10 and $20 charcuterie plate (common sense would say the answer is "more food" but she was unable to come up with even that phrase, instead stumbling over her answer before producing, "a bigger plate"). Our check was wrong once...twice...three times, and each time we flagged this for them it took several minutes for them to produce a new one - again, even though the bar and register were right there.
The vibe was nice and the setting, though small, is funky. I might go back.
