  • So, the first time we dined at this Blueberry Hill our experience was OK. It was a Sunday afternoon. We were seated quickly, service was OK, the restaurant was clean, food came out in a decent amount of time. My daughter was happy with her chocolate chip pancakes, boyfriend was satisfied with his steak and eggs, my "little boy blue" was meh. Portions were large, prices are reasonably cheap, flavor/seasoning was meh (my blueberry pancakes, while tasty on their own, were smothered with an ample amount of blueberry goo... firm, almost hard, blueberries in a heavily corn starched "sauce"). The second time.... Again, it was a Sunday. The lobby was full so we were expecting a half hour to 45 minute wait, so imagine or surprise when the host informed us it was only going to be 10-15 minutes. Score! We were seated in the allotted time, however it took about 15 additional minutes for our server to greet us and another half hour for our order to reach the table. My daughter's medium steak came out very well done (dry with no pink). My over medium eggs came out sunny side up (I'm pregnant and "shouldn't" have eaten them but was starving at that point). Boyfriend's medium burger and over easy egg also came out disappointingly over done. Our friend's biscuits and gravy came out burnt? But as mentioned earlier, we were super hungry/over it and didn't want to wait another hour for a refire... our server was nowhere to be found. To be fair, we'll probably give this place another shot in a few months. Until then, we'll stick to our go-to weekend brunch spots with consistently awesome food, consistently long wait times and consistent service (Mr. Mama's, Babystacks, and Eggworks).
