| - I would love to review the haircut I received from Fringe. I really truly would. I mean, why else would i drag my ass out in Windchill Warning weather (feels like -37)?
I can't even imagine why I would do that unless I had an appointment and was really, really looking forward to getting my hair cut by a well-yelp-reviewed salon.
So, imagine my disappointment when I, rosy-cheeked from the cold and stomping feeling back into my toes, was met with a panicked stare from a receptionist in an empty salon. I expected a "car wouldn't start, stylist/owner will be late" excuse. I did not expect: "Are you sure you have an appointment, I don't have you down".
Considering I'd used the online appointment request, and had received a brusque call back (I'm booking you in for Tuesday at 10), yeah, I was pretty sure I had an appointment. But the owner/stylist I'd booked with wasn't coming in. Sick. And all the other stylists had appointments, but maybe one could squeeze me in, or maybe one could come in early.... Maybe...
Too much maybe on a freezing cold day in an empty salon when I had other things to do. Back out into the cold with shaggy, unstyled hair. Trudge, trudge...
Not cool, Fringe. Not cool at all.
