| - Unfortunate circumstances brought me back. Several buttons on my phone stopped working, and I was two weeks out of warranty... ugh. But it needed fixin' so I drove all the way out the SouthPark where they told me that I could make an appointment for the next day. I know that's their policy and that I should have called ahead, but returning the next morning I brought a foul mood. And a head full of research. And a cup of hot coffee, because I wasn't leaving until they fixed my phone. Warranty or no, Plan B involved stamping my feet and making a scene until they agreed to fix it. I'm not very good at that kind of thing, but I was prepared to try it.
The histrionics were not needed. I described the problem and began to explain what my own research had uncovered (all of the afflicted buttons share a circuit board, which explains why they failed together) when the Genius Bar Lady cut me off: "These buttons share a circuit board, which explains why they failed together. It could just be a loose cable, let me check." Thunder stolen, I relinquished the device. Five minutes later she returned with my phone in perfect working order. No charge and no need for me to embarrass myself. When I left, my coffee was still too hot to drink.
Clearly some of these people know A LOT about their products. If this had been my only experience I would be rating 5 stars, but the unmitigated disaster described in my previous review still leaves a bad taste in my mouth
