| - Sears itself was fine, however I need to warn Everyone about the delivery. We purchased a washer and dryer along with a refrigerator that was scheduled for delivery yesterday. They called, scheduled 2 hour window. Day of? 3 hours late, no calls beforehand letting us know. Then the delivery...well, i have 4 quarter sized chunks of missing wall, a ripped up hard wood floor on my top step, and 4 dents in the fridge. The washer and dryer? Well, they didnt even set those up. Left them in the garage and told us they would be back in the morning. This was after they disconnected the ones we had in there, so now we have no washer and dryer hooked up. Morning comes, no delivery guys. I call the delivery people, am told they will be here in the afternoon, before 5. Five comes, no delivery. Call the delivery people, there's no appt set so they are not coming out today. I'm livid. They say they may be able to get it tomorrow, but can't guarantee it since they have to talk to the warehouse. I ask why I'm not being prioritized. No answer. Customer service is awful - basically a drone regurgitating the same annoying customer service platitudes ("thank you for your patience", "i know that this must be frustrating for you" etc) without offering any real help. I ask what happens if they can't get me in tomorrow. Well then we have to wait for the next available day...which will be at least 3 days (due to thanksgiving and black friday), possibly a week. Meanwhile, that means i have no washer and dryer hookedup because they unhooked and moved the ones already in place. Best part? Not even free delivery. You pay 70 bucks for this type of awesome customer service if you buy in store. Do yourself a favor and avoid sears unless you have your own delivery method and installation set up.
