All the rooms at the Rio are suites and very spacious. The rooms are in good condition, but a little dated. If they want to be relevant and competitive then they should invest in updating their suites.
Overall, the hotel is very smoky and our room was not ready at midnight - when check in begins at 4 p.m. They've recently added check in kiosks to expedite things. I am tech savvy and found that the kiosks were not user friendly. My Nevada drivers license would not scan properly after several attempts. I noticed several other people having similar issues and there rooms were not ready either. Although my room was dirt cheap, this will probably be my last time staying here.
Gone are the good ol' days of the 90s - when the Rio was the spot!
