| - I received a gift card for an herbal pedicure for my birthday and decided to drop in today last minute after a long Monday morning.
I walked in and was greeted. There were 3 customers all getting pedicures. I waited approx 10 mins (fine with me for a walk in). I picked a blue polish with blue glitter to put in top for a summery look.
I know most customers prefer to just sit back and relax, but aside from how short did I want my nails, I wasn't spoken to after that. I guess the herbal pedicure meant I received a sugar scrub treatment along with my pedicure.
My complaints are because I really felt like a few things were off here. I've been to a million nail salons, and I feel like this shop is dirty. There's so many scares these days from poor sanitation... the tools and files looked dirty, and there was dust and the manicure bars bar stools were really worn and outdated. If someone looked around long enough they would get what I meant. Lots of salons are using those plastic liners in their pedicure spa baths now. Though I will say that I watched her at least clean one with some spray chemical. I don't know, I just feel like I wasn't very impressed... for the price, environment, quality of pedicure, I probably won't be back.
I know most salons refill their containers of stuff like acetone, lotion, etc, but the quality just really wasn't there and the refilled containers were lacking labels and seemed dirty.
Also, one customer walked in who was a regular who gets gel manicures. Apparently the two people that do her nails were stuck in California? No one else there could even do a gel manicure? Seriously? There was at least 3-4 staff members. The lady had a scheduled appt and was sent away or asked to wait almost an hour for them to arrive?
Yuck. There's just so much competition, there are 5 nearby salons I'll continue to frequent insteD
