Food was OUTSTANDING! Service was HORRIBLE!
Let's start off with the good. The wagyu steak sashimi that me and my sister shared as an appetizer was probably one of the top 3 things I've over put in my mouth! I got the 14oz New York sirloin cooked Rare plus. It was amazing! Melt in your mouth good, very rich flavor, a little salty but not too bad at all. The quality of the meat was so great even on one of the cheaper cuts they serve (which still aren't cheap). My sister got the petite filet 8oz cooked the same and it was equally as good, slightly different flavor (you could tell it came from a totally different farm as advertised). We shared the Brussels and Mac and cheese, which were both outstanding themselves. Brussels were so good I don't have a single complaint or problem. Mac and cheese was great also just a little too rich but that is customary with those types of cheeses. Dessert was not ordered as usual for me (Just don't understand how someone could save room for sweets) but my sister mentioned to the waitress that it was my birthday (actually 3 days prior) and they brought me out a complimentary banana cream pie with a fancy happy birthday written in chocolate syrup. I've never had banana cream pie since I'm not a dessert guy but I entertained the dish seeing as they brought it for free. Boy was I amazed! Banana cream pie is really good (at least there's was).
Now for the bad...... the service was GARBAGE! We are not the most upscale people but know how to blend in, and this was an upscale restaurant I understand but that gives them no right to constantly look down at us and treat us like peasants. We were dressed well within the dress code just not a suit and tie for me (most customers were suited up) yet we were looked at by our waitress and her helper (let's call him bread and water boy) like we didn't belong. Well mr bread and water boy was the rudest person I've ever experienced at a restaurant. The waitress took forever to do anything. Drink order 20 mins after seating. Appetizer order 20 minutes later. We weren't gonna wait another 20 minutes to order food so we asked to order as she brought the appetizer out. She was so rude about having to take our order against her strict 20 minutes between scheduled visits to the table. I usually won't rate a place bad because of the service but this place takes the cake!
I'd recommend going there nonetheless! You have to get the wagyu beef shashimi though.
