  • Atomic gets points for originality (total mad scientist experiment with the use of nitrogen... v cool) , the friendliness of its servers, and its universal appeal for people with dietary restrictions. I went for one of their suggested combos - chocolate hazelnut using an almond milk base with some bananas thrown in for good measure -- and my man tried to come up with his own creation (a medley of coconut, cardamom and almond in a coconut milk base -- it wound up tasting a lot like chai). Though I appreciated the effort required to make these Atomic combos, I was underwhelmed by the taste. Oh well. Hopefully, Atomic waves its magic wand and.... POOF... it tastes better for a little less. I don't know if I'm willing to pay $12 for a so-so tasting frozen treat in a small cup and a cone again.
