  • I've been to Cosmo a number of times before for the restaurants and for Marquee. I always loved the decor of the retail and lobby areas and the hotel's location in the center of the action is unbeatable. Cosmo may have the best curated restaurant selection out of all of the major hotels on the Strip: Egg Slut is an LA favorite; Jose Andres always delivers excellent flavors; Momofuku just opened a few weeks ago. Marquee is a guaranteed good time (except for the scary stairs on the way out). Last weekend was the first time I've stayed at Cosmo and boy was it a let down. We had a City Room and it was tiny compared to other standard rooms in Vegas. The bathroom vanity was a single sink and it was short. The shower was just big enough for one and there was no separate bathtub. The toilet did not have a separate door. Also, lighting in the bathroom was dark and made it hard to do makeup. Basically, the room felt like any other 4* hotel room in the country. However, Vegas hotels rooms tend to be bigger, grander, and just nicer. Considering how new Cosmo is compared to some other hotels on the strip and the premium price, I definitely expected it to be better. I've stayed at Encore during most of my Vegas trips and for about the same price, Encore's rooms are 50% bigger and have higher end furnishings and finishes than Cosmo. The only positive is that you can redeem your Marriott/Starwood points at Cosmo. If you're going to pay out of pocket, don't bother spending your money here.
