| - So I've been ready to try this place since they opened. However, I wasn't as "WOW-ed" as I expected to be...
For a Saturday night, there was a bit of a wait, but it was Restaurant Week so that probably added a little more waiting time than normal. Our seat was right out of the kitchen and for a busy night that wasn't the best place for a first experience or for a nice date night out. Not to mention that service was a bit lacking. I think Derrick and I saw our waiter for a total of 3 times. He introduced himself, took our order and brought us the check. That was it. Really?
No refills, no "how's the food?", or check in's to see if we needed something or wanted to add something else....ugh. I understand it was "busy" but ever table is important....not just the larger parties.
Okay, now on to the food....
We started with the Sweet & Spicy chicken wings. They were okay. They could have been cooked a little longer and they could have added a few more wings....I mean for the price I just expected more. Would I order them again....nope. However, the garlic bread starter was pretty delish.
For pizza's we ordered the Chicken Meatball pizza and the Prosciutto di Parma. They were both good but not great. I think my main issue was that could have been warmer. It was like they'd been sitting out for a little while before they made it to the table. The other thing is that I'm a sucker for a great crust and I just found it to be just okay, not bad by any means just not the best I've ever had. On the bright side, I did really enjoyed the chicken meatballs, they were really packed with some great flavors.
Would I be willing to go back? Sure, but it would have to be when they aren't so busy, and I'd make sure to order a different pizza or dish for a good comparison.
