I would rate it a zero if I could.
Hurt my foot and knee in mid Sept. Just now getting the MRI since Advanced Orthopedics never put in for an emergency MRI. Now come to find out, I never needed and authorization to begin with. Advanced Orthopedics gave me the wrong information. Jen put in for an MRI with the base when I told her I don't get my care at the base. This delayed things even further.
My experience has been with Dr. Tim Trainor and Dr. Kurvella. They spent a whole 5 minutes literally with me each time. Apparently, if I am not doing surgery, they don't feel they are getting money out of you, so that equates to a short office visit and no one returning your calls. Mario, the office manager, doesn't give a shit either. OH, *hugh sigh* let me open your chart one more time *SIGH*
AND the grand prize of it all ......
Just found out Advanced Orthopedics discharged me as a patient ....why? Because of my insurance Tricare. The said it is too much work to get authorizations and deal with my insurance. Is this the way we treat military and veterans?
I am outraged especially when I'm still trying to get the MRI order changed for the correct body part. Advanced Orthopedics put in for the Achilles tendon on the order when I never hurt my Achilles tendon!
You'll be happy at this place if you like being made to feel like a number, no one returns your phone calls, your given an attitude when you are inquiring about an issue and you love a 2-5 minute office visit that you just got done waiting 2 hours for.
If you hate all of that and demand to be respected as a patient. you are better off finding another orthopedic doctor where $$$$ isn't the bottom line.
