| - I am not a big red meat eater by trade. In fact, I've never really had a good quality steak before. I've had steak, just not a dry aged top quality prime cut. So I figured if you're going to do something first, do it right. This place is definitely a special occasion place, unless you're the Monopoly man. It is very pricey. However, one does not feel ripped off. Meaning I have been to equally pricey places where you leave feeling hungry and kinda bamboozled. They still give you large shareable portions here, so nobody will leave feeling the need to hit up the White Castle after to fill in the nooks and crannies (although I did because I'm a fat monster). The 32oz Porterhouse was fantastic, it was interesting to compare each side of the cut - I preferred the filet, but only slightly. We had waygu tartar which was just insanely decadent and so very clean tasting. We even sprung for a $140 bottle of wine, which is outrageous by my typical wine drinking standards. But it seemed reasonable at the time considering there was bottles on there up to $12,000!! Their wine list is the most crazy thing I've seen. If you can't find a bottle to impress your date or business client's here, then you won't find it anywhere. They of course have all the scotches and manly cocktails you'd expect at a restaurant dedicated to eating cows too. So in short, Ron Swanson would approve of this place.
