  • I've had a terrible experience here with their personnel from personal trainers to people in the back offices that deal with membership/finances. That's the main reason behind the low star rating, but even I cannot argue that they've done a nice job with the renovations and the new building and machines are very well equipped. The main reasons behind joining this gym was the fact that they have an attached pool and when I do go on the cardio machines, the personal TV screens on each machine is a godsend for me as someone that lacks motivation. If that's not your cup of tea (why wouldn't it be?!) a lot of the machines overlook the pool so you can people watch while they swim. The locker area is nice and clean as well, and the gym does not attract too many sketchy characters, and I've not had any crowding problems, but then again I did avoid all the peak times they tell you. They have squash courts and a basketball court which I'm not sure has been completed yet. There's a studio where they hold fitness classes as well. They also have a "weight loss" clinic or program so if you really want to go all out this place does have everything. There's also a smoothie bar prices are not great, across the parking lot is a convenient store if you want a sports drink. Like most gyms new members must go through a "fitness" assessment, where you need to go for 3 sessions and they pair you up with a trainer who instructs you on specific activities to test your endurance and then your body fat %, bmi, heart rate etc. They finally have a sit down with you and tries very hard to get you to sign up for personal sessions which you should NOT do as it binds you to a contract that you cannot get out of. I had to deal with a few people from the administrative side and they would make promises only to have it broken by the next person you talk to. So be wary if you do end up joining. But I definitely recommend this place for a 3 or 5 day free trial they sometimes offer.
