  • I only have one experience here, but based on that experience, I'd give them another shot. Once my brother in law closed down his shop, I've been on a hunt for a reliable mechanic that is well versed in their trade and trustworthy to work on my vehicle that I drive my family around in. I tried one shop not far from home, first couple visits were OK, I complained of my brakes squealing and the horrible ride on these tires I had just purchased from him. It seemed like I was left on my own to troubleshoot and pay for the work that I thought was causing the issue, rather than him with the car in the air and the tires off. He obviously missed the issue when I asked him to look at my brakes, I just hope it wasn't intentional. Earlier in the season they were too busy for me to make an appointment for an oil change and swap my tires. That's where the people of Yelp came and saved the day! I found this place not far from the site I was working on at the time. I left my car there first thing in the morning, my partner picked me up and we went to work. Around coffee time I received a call, the call that I was dreading after bringing my car to a new mechanic. The call when they tell you that your car needs a whole lot more done than you brought it in for. He told me I needed brakes and rotors all around. I told him I'd have to think about it and I'd call him back. I was suspicious, even though he invited me to come look for myself. I initially opted to not have the extra work done. I hung up the phone and quickly recalled that I had asked the previous mechanic to check out my brakes, maybe he missed something. At the chance of looking like a goof ball I called back right away and told him to do the work. I was dropped off to pick up my car, I was brought to the back and I was shown the parts and how to avoid this problem in the future. His price was within reason and as soon as I started driving I could feel and hear the difference. I knew right away I had made the right call.
