Nice fashions. But high end prices for bummy / casual / bohemian clothing, doesn't work - and every time I go there, the prices catch me off guard. Prices aren't changing, and they've been around for several years now.
I guess I can accept Anthropologie more, since they're purportedly marketing themselves to women who earn an annual income of $150-$200 K (google "anthropologie marketing strategy" for more); their quality also tends to be higher. Their style is similar to that of Urban Outfitters, of which the latter seems more geared to affluent and trendy 20-low 30 somethings.
Have I ever bought anything there? Um, yes. In my ten+ years of being in the City, I've bought 1-3 or 4 items in total there.
I'm willing to pay more $$ if it's for a classic piece that I can use for a while. Otherwise, I'll tend to go elsewhere for classic pieces, and for cheaper bummy (to bum around the home) or bohemian items.
