What a great hotel! Staff is sooooo accommodating. We came in for the stampede so it was pretty busy but the service was still on point. Whenever we needed our vehicle out of valet, it was always quick to arrive and the valet staff were always pleasant. The attention to detail that went into the hotel for the stampede was impressive. The lobby had the loaded horse wagon and various cowboy hats for the kids to sit up there for photos. The elevators had old log cabin style framing which was super cute. All the front hotel staff were dressed in cowboy/cowgirl attire. Very festive feel. The rooms were amazing. We had the king corner suite which boasted beautiful views of the city and a large suite with a separate bedroom and living area and extra large spa bathroom. The amenities were superior with high quality products from their spa, Shine. The bathtub was an extra large oval tub that filled super quickly for the size complete with loofah and bath salts from their spa! Their rooms are very comfortable and very spacious. Definitely makes you feel at home. Each room comes with a humidifier for those sensitive to the drier air which went to great use for us Vancouverites who are used to a bit more humidity in the air. The shower pressure was great. I appreciate a good pressure shower. The little kitchenette has a microwave, tea kettle, coffee machine featuring Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. The hotel room floors were very quiet despite the Stampede and having a lot of guests in the hotel. Not much disturbance at all. Each floor has an ice room with vending machines and laundry available at $3.00 per load which includes the laundry detergent which is a nice option especially when travelling with young children! We requested a crib for our two year old daughter and it was quick to arrive to our room. The beds are very comfortable and the robes are super soft! The pool isn't too big (not a lap pool) but comes with a water slide for the kids and large hot tub and fitness centre for those fitness addicts out there with some decent equipment. Conveniently located by the Eau Clair Market which has a few coffee bars, restaurants and little shops. The Sheraton did a great job with this hotel as part of their fleet. We would absolutely stay here again and plan to when we return to Calgary on future visits.
