| - I have longed to try a Brazilian Steakhouse for many years and have always wanted to go to Brasa but the timing was never right and the price was certainly never right. Don't misunderstand me, I am not cheap, but wanting a romantic night out with the wife, the time off, adding the cost of dinner alone then someone to sit for the kids... it can break the bank of a not-so-well-off man LOL
Anyway, we noticed this place the last time we drove through Crocker Park, I looked them up, saw they had some deals that lent slightly more towards my budget and I gave them a ring, made a reservation through Open Table and on the night of our anniversary we went.
The Ambiance was lovely, the hostess, whom also happened to be the manager, was delightful every moment of our conversation, and our primary waiter was awesome. He was very helpful and not pushy about the Wine selection. We picked one of the cheaper wines in the list and he made us feel like we'd picked pure gold.
Each server on the meat spits (Guachos?) was pleasant, quick, and offered their hints as to how they liked the meats and were quite kind and courteous if we passed on a meat choice.
If you go on weekend afternoons you can shave $15 off of your meal, per person. They have specials run when you sign up on the site, and for anniversary dinners they offer a complimentary dessert for each of you or a champagne toast. We went with the dessert. All told, through the complimentary dessert and the $20 off coupon we had we probably saved about $40-45 which we funneled back into the wine and we tipped based on what the price WOULD have been (as you should do). We had a very good time and will be back again.
Now for my only Complaint. I have heard legendary things about the salad bars at Brazilian Steakhouses and this just didn't measure up. Don't laugh at me... I LOVE the salad bar at Ruby Tuesdays. Never had a better salad bar... so I was expecting something like That mixed with what we had. Do not get me wrong, it was very interesting items, but I could not see spending $25-30 just to have that as some do. I'd been under the impression there would be more seafood options and the shrimp dish they had was not appealing to me.
Lobster Bisque... OMG - If i could have taken a gallon of that home... yes yes.
Anyway... VERY VERY Good... I recommend.
