Don't go see Carissa unless you want someone unpleasant and rough with your hair even while washing. After seeing the pictures of her work, I decided to give this place a try. Had to wait for around 30 min. She provided awful customer service and had no consideration for how rough she was during my appointment. She teases the hair to the point of breakage then painted the color into the hair, calling it "balayage" technique. Balayage is a freehand technique where the color is applied by hand rather than using foils. Back combing sections for balayage is a no no and if you see it leave the salon! It's the lazy way out to try and get a gradient look. A colorist should have the skill to paint soft fine highlights without backcombing.. and it damages the hair! Also, combing hair after teasing should be done gently at least! Would not recommend and will not be back.
