Don't pay full price in the summer. There are plenty of options i.e. TravelZoo running $129 a night specials. I didn't know this until after our stay last week.
We paid $535 to stay for 2 nights (luckily, we found a special to get 3rd night free). We were very disappointed with being put in one of the farthest buildings from the pools and restaurants. Despite the property being fairly vacant. Also, the TV channels are very limited and not in HD. There wasn't even a regular ESPN channel which my husband was very disappointed about.
Also, do not valet park your car. It is $22+ w/tax a day and in the summer self-parking is free. You walk the same distance basically so it's hard to justify spending this much. When we pulled up valet did not communicate this to us. They gave us direction on removing everything out of car and said they would park it. We had to ask at the front desk what the parking costs were and had to run out and retrieve the car before it was parked.
The property was not well maintained. Overgrown grass, dirty ice machine, towels thrown about around the pool in the morning, etc.
The restaurant was amazing. I definitely recommend having dinner at Prado if you are staying here.
There are plenty of other great resort options with more amenities and better service. I would not recommend staying over the Phoenician, The Princess, etc.
