  • This review is based on the second stay my dogs had at Deer Creek Animal Hospital. I took them back after a successful first stay but regret it immensely. They were there for just two nights and when I dropped my dogs off, they were both happy and unharmed. I always leave their food with the kennel so there are no tummy issues and do not have them in the group play. When I picked my dogs up and got them home, I noticed my Boston Terrier was limping so I checked her feet and the pads of her paws were sore. Initially I assumed it was because she had played some fetch however when the limping progressively worsened and my dog threw up I checked her over again and found swelling in a toe and what appeared to be trauma to a nail, likely now infected. I called the kennel to ask if something had happened during her stay, maybe she was accidentally stood on/got under someone's feet... they denied that she had any issues. In fact, my dogs were not interracted with at all during their stay, not played with at all. I know my dogs well, my boston would not have run around alone or done anything that could have resulted in this injury. Yet the kennel refused to offer a complimentary vet check or even take any responsibility. It took multiple calls and messages to even get the manager/assistant manager to contact me and by the time we spoke she conveniently had answers to everything and made sure they were not at fault. They offered to book my dog in for what I'm sure would have a pricey visit but I will take dogs elsewhere and never return to Deer Creek Animal Hospital. I have uploaded a few pictures, her pads are recovering and scabby. It has been 3 days since she came home but the swelling is still there and we are treating that injury. Please make sure the people you entrust your beloved pets to really care about their welfare.
