Good but not great is probably the best way to describe this upscale south side Italian joint. Tucked into a converted row house, the restaurant feels crowded and the noise level is off the charts; the hardwood floors don't help the situation.
My date sat two feet from my face yet we could hardly hear each other over the music, noise and constant scraping/banging of chairs against the pesky hardwood floors. Still, the food was good, inventive and thoughtfully prepared but combine the noise level, smoke [people still smoke in Pennsylvania restaurants] and the near impossibility of parking on the south side on a Saturday night and I'd have to rethink a return.
