| - I have stayed at this hotel twice now, and I can't stand it! The Marriott Eaton Centre is so much better. Let's talk about the Delta Chelsea though.
This hotel has an expansive lobby. So much so that it makes it hard to meet up with anyone without knowing exactly where to be in the lobby. The staff is responsive, but not overly so. The lobby is always busy. I found myself dodging people in wheelchairs, luggage, and children every time I walked through and being that I don't like people as a rule, this really wasn't my cup of tea.
The rooms were for the most part okay. I had one room with a very dark bathroom and a broken soap dish and another one with a decent bathroom. The TVs, in this day and age of flat panels, are old school tube TVs. The room is not sound insulated and you hear the traffic outside and the people in the halls. The bed was okay, but not superb.
The location is good, though I still favor the Eaton Centre Marriott for its location in relation to the heart of Toronto. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby and a 24 hour supermarket just down the street.
Breakfast is not included, of course, but you can go to the feed hall.. I mean food court or you can stroll down to Dundas and get a Starbucks coffee and pastry.
Again, for business travelers, go to the Marriott, but for leisure travelers I guess this hotel might work for you.
