| - The building itself may be somewhat intimidating to conquer, but once you get past the size, area of town it's located in, and the sheer number of things in the place, it's awesome! Don't come here when you're on a time crunch, you can get lost in the many many things they are offering up for sale.
The building itself is filled with rooms that each have a different theme which sort of aids you in your search for what you want. I think if you come in with a specific idea of what you're looking for it can be overwhelming. However, if you come in with hours to kill, this is the place for you! I think I've spent three hours here once without even noticing. There's so much to look at!
I don't know much about antiques, and sometimes it seems like the staff doesn't either, which is the only downside to this place. They do have a huge variety of items though, and at pretty reasonable costs. Almost everything is for sale in here, and all of it can be bargained on if you're looking to save a buck.
They have everything from chotchkies to furniture for sale. I've bought some beautiful and unique floating shelves here, as well as a silver serving tray for $3 and some old books. Most of the items are worn, as is the building itself, but what else is to be expected? If you go, take someone with you and hang on to them as it's easy to get lost in the sprawling layout of the place. It always creeps me out thinking about what it's like after closing time here, especially the children's antique toy room.. yeesh.
