I'll start by explaining my problem I have with buying jeans.
I'm not that tall and I'm stalky. I'm not fat, but stalky.
The problem with this is that I have a 34 inch waist but my thighs are too big to fit into the jeans that fit my waist, unless I get baggy jeans and then I look like I'm in the middle of a midlife crisis!
IT SUCKS!!!
Buying jeans is a chore for me, so when I was walking down the street taking in the sights of Pittsburgh, I see a store that strikes my fancy. The Pittsburgh Jean Company is a very cool and well decorated place. The downstairs is set up for the ladies and the upstairs for men. I walked up the old crooked stairs in this cool old building. They have tables and displays all full of jeans in all styles and finishes. The ladies that worked here are knowledgeable, cute, nice and very helpful!! I explained my issue with jeans and they got to work. Not only did they continue to hand me pair after pair of jeans to try on, they also gave my poor son something to drink and made sure he was happy while waiting in there waiting area. After trying on dozens of pairs of jeans they helped find a few pairs that I really liked and that...ready for this...FIT!! They also helped buy a some stuff downstairs for my wife so that when I got home, I would be guilt free!!
I live in San Francisco, and it' not likely that I would travel all the way across the country just for jeans...not likely but no impossible!!
Great place with great people!!!
