| - Finally went to try this restaurant last night. It was a Friday night, busy but not packed. The booths were taken, so we sat at one of the glass tables. Service was attentive. We received 2 perogi to try as we read thru the menu. As a lover of perogi, this small gesture made me very happy!
Both my husband and myself ordered the chicken cordon bleu schnitzel as our meal. It was absolutely delicious. Thin chicken breast with ham and brie cheese, lightly battered with breading, almost a panko type breading. We both tried the mushroom topping as well, but neither of us liked it. They use porcini mushrooms, which are very earthy tasting. I think it is too overpowering for the already flavorful schnitzel.
With the dinners, you get one side and 3 salads. It is a lot of food. I tried the dill mashed potatoes, of which you get two large scoops. I also got the cole slaw, beet salad (chopped beets in a cream sauce), and tomatoes with basil. All were delicious. The husband got the rosti (kind of like a potato pancake), tomatoes and basil, and a side salad with lemon vinagrette dressing. I tasted the dressing and it was a creamy but sweet lemony dressing.
We also had ordered an appetizer of perogi before hand. 3 of the 3 cheese and 3 of the meat. Both choices were delicious. We got them with both the onions/bacon and the sour cream. It was 75 cents extra but definitely worth it. Try the pan fried option. The 2 perogi they brought initially were deep fried and we didn't care for them as much.
Overall we were super pleased with our meal. It is a little more in cost than our usual places we eat at weekly, but very high quality and flavor. We will be back for sure!
