  • We went to this restaurant for a quick bite the day we moved to Charlotte, and we really liked it. We enjoyed the food, and service was awesome. Later it was the first patio we took our puppy to when we got him, (perk- they are dog friendly). The staff was really sweet and brought out a dog bowl of water for him, and we were excited to find a place that we could take him. But our most recent experience there has soured me from ever wanting to return. My husband and I ordered take out lunch, and it was inedible. The salads were overdressed to the point that the lettuce was wilted and soggy, and my tuna steak which was supposed to be medium rare was well done and burned. We ended up throwing our lunch away it was so bad. I could forgive one bad food experience, especially since we have great memories at this restaurant (heck, everyone has an off day), but it was the customer experience after that has been a nightmare. When we called to speak with a manager, we were given the option of a refund or a gift card. We requested a refund, and were promised it would be done within a day or two (this was the day we ordered food). After multiple calls (over a month and a half), and conversations with managers, (Nick and Chris), still no refund. Each conversation they were as sweet and apologetic as could be, promising immediate action, but then, no follow through. They took our full card info down multiple times, each time claiming they didn't have it. Last we spoke with a manager, they were going into the office to take care of it and would "call right back". Surprise, surprise, no call back. And when I called later that day to follow up with the manager, who was supposed to call me back, I was told he was "in a meeting". The food is inconsistent, (but good when they are on), but the place is run poorly. I may be sweet but I am not stupid. If you aren't going to refund me for a poor product, then don't lie to me and say you are. It's just rude.
