Though I adore a couple of the staff here at this Safeway overall the store is horrible. Safeway overcharges for their items and for what?? You would think a store that overcharged like Safeway would have full customer service but that is not the case here. There is generally only ONE lane opened with a line building up. The employee then gets on loud speaker and says "Three's a crowd" to get another check out person. This then takes them about ten minutes to even get to the front. I have thought about never going to this store again due to this but they are close so the convenience overrides this aggravation. HOWEVER yesterday did it. I went down the aisle to pick up yogurt and found the entire yogurts except for a few were else expired or a day from being expired. I told the cashier about this only to have them say Oh is it 50% off? I said no but it is expired, he then said Yea but they are very conservative with that date and I said "Well I would not buy an expired item even at 50% off" then he says "Oh I would but I would not recommend it to anyone that is elderly or gets sick easily"!! Not ONCE did he say I am so sorry I will let the manager know so we can them off the shelf! THEN to top it off they have the bag boy come over and I said Oh I need ice. Now any other store the bag boy will go get you ice or AT LEAST OFFER, but nothing from this store. I then say to the boy "Where is the ice?" hint hint get the customer ice... however he still missed it and just pointed me in the direction. AGAIN I ASK why the overpriced items? Bad to no customer service and one cashier??
