| - Here's the deal- I really like some of the food at Autumn Court. Their Szechuan eggplant with ground chicken is out of this world! So flavorful with just enough spice. mmmm. The husband also likes their orange chicken. The thing is, their prices are a bit high if you don't go for lunch....remedy? Just go for lunch. They even offer lunch specials on the weekend until 4pm and the items are mostly under 10$. The portions are large enough for two meals (for me anyway). The lunch also comes with an eggroll and white rice. If you want soup, it's around 1$ more depending on which soup you get. Their hot and sour is ok and I like their wonton (it has bok choy in it, which is kinda different and tasty).
So why only 3 stars? The main reason is the service. The service here is just sad. It's usually suuuuuper slow as they often have too few employees working (especially around lunch time). We've had some waiters that have been nice, and one waiter who was less nice. Also, I saw one of their waiters carrying water glasses with his thumbs on the inside of the glass (you know, so his thumbs were in the waters.....yuck). This won't stop me from coming back to Autumn Court, but it does lessen the appeal of the restaurant. Also, we had their potstickers once and they were very odd and not so good.....they were super dense sausages inside of the noodle..... unlike any potsticker I've ever had. Can't recommend that. Lastly, they have an odd happy hour here....it's all sushi, which I found strange given that the restaurant is generally a Chinese food place.
Overall, I would recommend Autumn Court. The good definitely outweighs the bad.
