Let me start by saying that I moved here from out of state and adored by prior stylist and salon so I knew finding someone here was going to be tough. I went to MCN on the recommendation of a fellow bottle blonde and over the course of more than a year and half, I've seen two different stylists at MCN (Nicolette who left last summer and Ashley) - both were fine. Color was fine, cut was fine. That's it - just fine. Actual styling was non-existent. I have shorter hair and was used to a real blowout with style - here they just blew it dry,. Which would have been fine if the price for cut/highlights wasn't close to $200 (after living in Baltimore and Nashville, this was exceptionally more expensive than I was used to). They also SHOVE products down your throat - its ridiculous and annoying. I also didn't like the fact that on any given visit, I'd have my main stylist and probably at least two other people 'work' on me - either washing my hair, putting toner in (which I asked repeatedly NOT to have them use) or finishing up the highlights. I can't stand this and it's one of the reasons I won't go back. Overall, I found myself dreading going to get my hair done and when I'm spending that kind of money and time someplace, I'd like to at least sort of enjoy the experience. Something to remember - they only take cash tips.
