| - I have been a regular customer at Pinky nails Church St. location (there are just the 2 locations) before, so I decided to check out this one on Yonge St. NB: not to be confused with Pinky'S Nails on Richmond, which is a higher end place that specializes in elaborate nail art. I'm happy to report that the Yonge St. Pinky Nails is just as good as the other location. In fact, the salons are almost identical in the decor, service (some staff go back and forth between locations), colour selection, etc.
Most important stuff first: you will walk out with a great mani that will probably last 5-7 days before chipping and everything is super clean. Those are the biggest things you care about in any nail spot. Staff are friendly, polite, and very meticulous. The shoulder massage while your nails dry is another bonus. There is a TV (almost always on CP24) and a bunch of fashion/celebrity gossip magazines to keep you entertained, not to mention a bowl of candy:) It really does feel like a place to relax and be pampered.
Prices are reasonable: $20 mani, $45 mani-pedi. Not dirt cheap, but I am generally wary of the $30 mani-pedi and find those places to have really bad service/unclean facilities. They do shellac too, as well as facial and waxing although I have never tried those here.
They accept walk-ins, but if you're going right after work or other busy times, it's not a bad idea to phone ahead and book an appointment.
