  • My second time at Steam Whistle is grounds for a review. Located in literally the top spot for a brewery of its ilk Steam Whistle gets crowded. (It's across the street from Rodgers Centre, the Aquarium, and the CN Tower and walking distance from Union station) This makes me question why it is always packed. They brew only one beer which I respect, often times brewers get caught up in chasing what's hot like the fruited Berliner Weisses or big juicy IPAs. Not Steam Whistle, you'll drink your Pilsner and you'll enjoy it. I do enjoy it, both times I've left I had left wanting more. It goes down so quickly, it's crisp, it's crackery, it's well done. This most recent time we wanted to get pretzels and enjoy our beers, but they were out of pretzels and the place was packed. After spending time in lines for the CN Tower we couldn't deal with the crowds and were hungry so we quickly put pack our pilsners and ran for dinner. I am sure I will be back and I did grab some Steam Whistle cans for friends back stateside.
