I needed a specific car battery. I called and they said they have it in stock. I asked if they would price match Amazon ($190 vs $160) and they said Yes over the phone. I wasn't in a hurry for the part, but the location is close to home and I'd prefer to spend money locally. When I went later the same day, they said they only match local competitors - not Amazon. Despite telling them my earlier conversation, they wouldn't accept it since I didn't have the name of the person I spoke with... I didn't know I needed that!. They expected me to price search a better price while standing there? The manager of the store told me that they charge for "instant gratification." They agreed to a negotiated price of $170, but acted like I was robbing them. I bought the battery since I was already there, but next time will go to the location on Northsight. I've been there several times before and never had a problem. I don't care what they want to charge, but it's not cool to give a different policy over the phone and make it my fault for not getting the employee's name. Somehow, though, I just didn't feel the 'instant gratification.'
