| - I'd been here before for a manicure and received an email for 30% off any return service. I was way overdue for a brow wax, and my regular stylist had taken a leave of absence from my normal salon, so I thought it was worth trying out Lynette Sciulli. I thought 30% off was a good deal, so I made my appointment through the email link, just like the instructions said to do.
Of course, you get what you pay for.
The results themselves are pretty mediocre and normally, that wouldn't prompt me to write a Yelp review. The real problem was the lack of customer service. I got there and Lynette, the stylist, didn't remove my makeup or really examine my brows before she started putting wax on there. Then she immediately got wax in my hair. I've never, ever had that happen to me in the 11+ years I've been having my brows waxed. Then she began to put oil in my hair to get it all out. That's a problem because I have extensions, which are fragile and can't have any oil applied near the adhesive. She got oil on my shirt, which is now ruined, and my hair was still sticky afterwards.
Then she went to the other brow and got wax in my hair AGAIN. She was like "Oh, I'm so sorry - I'm on all these pain meds! The girl who was supposed to do this called in sick." What?! I was just flabbergasted.
She used a towel to wipe up the excess oil from my hair and then put the towel on my scalp to wipe up the oil and wax on my skin. I asked if the towel had oil on it because I didn't want any oil near my hair extension adhesive and she was like "Oh, your extensions aren't going to come out THAT easily, right?" Like this whole messy situation was my fault. She then mentioned something about how dizzy she was because of the meds. So bizarre.
When I went to check out (surprise surprise), they didn't charge me the 30% off promo price I signed up for online, but full price. I was so shocked and just wanted to get the heck out of there that I just paid it, like an idiot. I'm mad at myself for paying full price and super frustrated that I have oil on my clothes and wax in my hair and on my glasses (which were on my lap at the time).
I never, ever write bad reviews on Yelp, but this was just such a bizarre, frustrating experience that I wanted to flag it for future potential customers - just stay away from this salon. It's not worth it!
