I went to the Tempe location on last night to see what they had. I was looking for a new living room set and wanted to see what they had after my last purchase didn't last as long as I liked. I will say there is some nice pieces of furniture. The prices seem a little ridiculous. Here was my biggest concern. The sales staff was very very pushy. She followed me around the store non-stop from one corner to another. When I told her twice that I was looking, she continued to be pushy and wanted to show me some items. I told her I was looking for a wing back and found one I really liked. I was ready to purchase and then she made the comment, "you really don't want that. Its not practical. Let me show you something else. You can't use that everyday". Excuse me, but if I want a wing back chair, I will get one. It is about my preference, not the sales persons. I entertained her and she preceded to show me multiple chairs that were well over $1,100.00. She continued to show me chairs I didn't care for any of these and really wanted the wing back. She then started telling my friend that was with me, "tell him he doesn't want the wing back. It's not practical. He doesn't like anything I recommend". The sales person continued to make me annoyed and make unprofessional remarks to me about my desire to buy a wing back chair. Then the sales person kept pushing a $1,500.00 chair and talking about how it lasts over twenty years and the best quality money can buy and talking about the various financing options I had. I told her I will think about it and then she said, "I better see you tomorrow. Ask for me. Don't go to Stella". Needless to say, I will not be going back to this store or giving a single cent to the store after the experience.
