  • I was born and raised in Chicago so I'm always a bit skeptical of places with "Chicago Hot Dog" on the menu. That usually means they may have discovered celery salt somewhere or maybe some tomato wedges. Windy City Beefs-N-Dogs is the real deal from the Vienna Beef products, Tom-Tom tamales (an extruded bit of tastiness), Gonnella bread, etc. etc. The service is excellent and you can browse the mail order Chicago Sun-Times while you wait. You just need that Blago fix that the local news outlets just can't match. I usually eat here at least 3 or 4 times a month. The #4 is a great way to taste the beef and the hot dogs. Dont bother to order ketchup on your hot dogs here either.
