So I decided that I would go to LensCrafters for my annual exam. I just got new insurance and they said there was an issue, and it "looks" like there was already a claim under my member number. Well it was a holiday and my insurance office was closed so I decided to go ahead with the exam and pay out of pocket because they would reimburse me for what I paid. For an eye exam I was charged $138.00. I sent in my claim to my insurance and they said they only cover $38.00 for the exam, and the $44 for the retinal exam would be on me. That's no problem. But what about the other $56.00???
This place over charged me for my eye exam, as if I did not even have insurance. I have been going back and forth with them and they keep saying they will refund me when it gets paid by my insurance. I keep getting Betsy every time I call and she says the same thing, "ohh it hasn't been paid, we will refund you once its paid." It has been 2 months that I have been dealing with this issue.
This wouldn't be such a big deal if I felt it was a good place for an eye exam.
I had Michelle Chen for my exam, who I felt has no idea what she was dong. In my experience I have had many eye exams and they thoroughly check my eyes. She gave me some mickey mouse prescription that I feel is wrong. So now I have to go out of network to get my eyes checked by my old eye doctor out of state.
It was a mistake going there, and I will never go back. I am still waiting on them to refund me my money.
My suggestion is to go to Optica right across the way.
