| - I have used Quick-Kleen six times after purchasing Living Social & Groupon Coupons. I ran into 2 problems in the first 2 trips they made to my home, but today, they went to my sister's to clean her rugs on my recommendation - It was a complete disaster!!! First the Owner/manager who runs the business is who came to clean with 2 other team members. First, he said if she had purchased directly from Quick-Kleen they wouldn't have charged her the $10.00 fee per room that she had to pay for moving HER OWN furniture. She had the rooms empty & ready to go so it was quick & easy and they charged her for doing it herself!! Next, he ran my sister's bill up to $167.54 for additional charges that were not what she originally ordered including if they had to unhook the machine it was $10.00 each time.
She bought the Groupon for 5 rooms to be cleaned for $59.00 so total she paid $226.00 for 5 rooms (1 of which was an oriental rug) to be cleaned. Comparatively speaking, that's ridiculous. I have had Sears, Stanley Steamer, and many other companies who did a better job and charged less.
After they left, my sister called Groupon which refunded her the $59.00 she paid and the manager had enough guts to call my sister twice and ask for another $179.00 in addition to the $167.54 she had given him when he was there (for a total of $346.54 for 5 areas of rug cleaning!) Groupon refunded her money since he was so rude, arrogant, and a complete jerk plus broke the terms of the Groupon. She called Quick-Kleen as well and was told to call customer service. On top of it all, after they left, my sister found a puddle under her oriental rug that was on her hardwood floor. She is trying to dry them out tonight so it doesn't damage the wood.
Never use them again. It's a shame because the cleaning crew I had this time was awesome.
