| - We were also tricked into attending this 'presentation'. At first, my hotel had offered cheap show tickets some of the most expensive shows on the Strip. We didn't know any better and thought to ourselves, 'hey, why not give it a try?'
We were setting ourselves for a major disappointment. They were really friendly at first, well they had to because they're trying to sell you their vacation ownership. They even went through the trouble of taking you over to their rooms so that you'd be interested. They refuse to tell you the pricing until the very end (the prices are ridiculous and extremely expensive!). The presentation lasted 3 hours and 30 minutes for me in total (WASTE OF TIME)!
The man who was trying to sell it to us got annoyed because we said NO. He even snapped at us and made a rude remark before he left us and handed us to another salesperson. The second salesperson was a bit more friendly, still just as pushy but a little more friendly. My mom tried to be nice and asked for their number, but they kept saying that they couldn't give out their number and that the offer was only for TODAY. What kind of place doesn't give out their number? HOW SHADY.
What really got to me was the last salesperson. She was meant to take a survey, asking what the problem was and what went wrong, so on and so forth. She went through the point system all over again. None of us were interested. So I kept telling her that, but she kept forcing it onto us with very little enthusiasm. She started acting rude by asking if we we're okay with staying in a tiny hotel room as opposed to one of the vacation rooms they offered. And when I told her I was okay with it, that's when she snapped at me saying that I don't care about family vacations and walked out on us.
We walked out immediately, were given no 'freebies' whatsoever. However, we were given our 'cheap' show tickets, which no longer felt worth the time we spent with these unprofessional salespeople.
So here's the breakdown:
1. Don't buy cheap 'show tickets', now matter how good the price sounds. If it has anything to do with attending a 2 hour presentation, DECLINE!
2. If you do follow through, do not go for a ONE on ONE presentation with your salesperson. Go for the GROUP. If you say no, then they will just walk you out.
3. These 'vacation ownerships' are not worth it. I'm sure there are better offers out there, don't even settle for this!
4. The salespeople get extremely pushy and rude when you refuse. They won't let you leave without talking to two or even three more salespeople! They will treat you with the same sort of attitude.
5. Avoid young, incompetent salespeople (*cough* survey girl *cough*), they'll just piss you off even more.
6. Again, what kind of place doesn't give out their phone number! This is unbelievably ridiculous!
7. It's even more ridiculous that they're forcing you into buying their ownership on the SAME DAY. (SCAM!)
8. Save yourselves the trouble and the time! Don't waste your time at Vegas sitting through this because it's NOT WORTH any cheap Las Vegas show ticket!!!!!
