  • I had an excellent experience with Dean of Shadyside. I bought the Groupon for a haircut on a whim because it is convenient to where I live. My appointment was with Tina, and she was great. She started the appointment by sitting me down and going over things about my hair and my lifestyle (how I style it, products, what I like and dislike, etc.), which she continued to reference throughout the appointment as things came up. She was very informative about every step of the process, explaining every product and process. She gave me exactly what I wanted with my hair, and asked questions along the way about taking more length off, adding more layers etc. Additionally, I mentioned that I had trouble getting my hair to hold a curl, so she took extra time to show me products and actually styled and curled my hair during the appointment, for no extra charge, even knowing I was using a Groupon (not to mention I've never had curl stay as nice for an entire day like this style did). Everything about my experience was great, and I immediately made another appointment to take advantage of their discount program.
