  • While I realize this is not the best theater as far as quality compared to other theaters in town as people have said, my husband and I really love coming here. The seats are super comfortable, the prices are cheaper than most other theaters in town, especially with Costco discount tickets, and we love hanging at South Point Casino for the dirt cheap great quality microbrewery beer (only a buck on Fridays and 2-3 bucks every other day) and Del Mar Deli for the great food outside of Carnegie Deli. While XD may not be as good as IMAX, when we use Costco tickets they only upcharge us for $2 a ticket here, which is why we don't mind doing XD. However, at the Regal theaters that play IMAX, they upcharge for more than triple that price on the Costoco discount tickets. A couple weeks ago we saw "The Town" here and were more than thrilled with the experience. Is it worth going out of your way across town for? Probably not. But maybe the lure of dirt cheap, awesome beer before or after a film at South Point might be some incentive.
