  • Dr. Lam is a really good dentist but I don't know if I appreciated being upsold by the dental staff. She was pretty adamant. I know they know how most insurances work and what is usually covered but in my case, a lot was not covered and I pretty much paid a lot out of pocket. Not happy at all. Here are some tips: 1. A lot of the Absolute Dentals are like the chop shops, they get you in, work you, up sell you, and get you out so they can hurry and move on to next victim. 2. Never have them work on your treatment plan the day of your consult (because I feel like that's how they get you!!!!). And reschedule another day to do treatment plan to make sure you know that your insurance will cover the treatment plan!!!!!! Anyhow, I did feel like I was taken care of but now I'm paying some ridiculous amount out of pocket and it just makes me very uncomfortable to go see any dentist. Just remember to make sure you rethink your treatment plan and make sure it is best for you before you get conned into doing same day service, it will probably save you a lot of grief and money!!!
