I booked Winter Sunset tour at South Rim from Grand Adventure because the reviews from Yelp were so good. It didn't disappoint us.
The beginning of the trip was not very pleasant because the company mistakenly registered our hotel as Cosmopolitan while we were staying at Treasure Island. We waited for the driver before the pickup time and no one showed up. We called the company and they realized they made a mistake. Immediately, they told us that they were going to refund part of our fees to my account (it was done by the end of the trip - great customer service) and they will send the driver ASAP. That was the end of the unpleasant experience. The rest of the trip was amazing.
Our tour guide was Alfonso who is very knowledgeable and nice. He explained the history of every site we went along the way and made the stories vividly so we were never bored. He helped take pictures for everyone of us along the whole trip, literally. It was very cold that day and he didn't even wear gloves at all because it was convenient for him to take pictures for us - very professional and amazing pics. By the end of our trip after the sunset, very few people were still there because of the chilly weather. But that was the start of the beauty - the night sky full of stars and you will never be able to see in cities.
The meals were decent. Breakfast was McD and we got to order whatever we wanted. Lunch was Arby's as promised on their website. Alfonso also brought grapes and some snacks.
I always had unsatisfied experiences when in a group tour but this one was truly beyond my expectations. Will strongly recommend this tour company!
One last recommendation for anyone who decides to go to Grand Canyon in winter time. It's very, very cold there even for us and we are from Canada - we know what winter is like! Wear thick winter jacket and hiking shoes. I saw people wear short sleeves and high heels there which was crazy as it appeared to be! I was wearing a moderate winter jacket and still unfortunately got a mild fever from the cold weather that night after the trip.
