  • I live here in the village, one street from Monkland. Living here is a little bit of paradise in the city - my neighbourhood is nothing but trees, gorgeous parks, gardens, kids and people out jogging or walking their dogs. The festivals are fun for tourists, hell for residents - we literally cannot go outdoors or open a window or walk the dogs or find a place to park on the street because of the crazy number of tourists and the noise of the dance music of the loudspeakers, but that's only twice a year, so you just put up with it. I've been here for a decade and I'm not leaving any time soon.
