| - Jerry did a great presentation on an excellent product. However, the cost was far out of line compared with most other companies. Yes, I realize that Andersen windows are very good quality, but for most people age 65+, there is just not enough time to realize the payback on a house with $30,000+ of new windows. My neighbor (identical home just behind mine in Sun City Grand) had a full-house replacement done by Andersen just over a year ago--14 windows plus a patio sliding door. That house was listed for sale this week at a price that is IDENTICAL to homes with 15-year-old low-quality builder-installed windows--so the neighbor's $30,000 outlay resulted in a ZERO payback.
My real problem is that Andersen does not know how to take NO for an answer. Jerry was very polite and professional, and I gave him a detailed explanation about why I was not selecting Andersen for my project. After reading some other reviews on this site, I also told him by email that I did NOT want the company to contact me again. Since then, I have been receiving emails every 2nd or 3rd day, reminding me about the quality of Andersen windows and the availability of many sales and other discounts. I had to go through my Internet Service Provider to block any more incoming ads from Renewal by Andersen.
NO MEANS NO.
NOVEMBER 2017 UPDATE: More than 3 months after telling this company to stop contacting me, I am still receiving regular communications from them by mail, addressed to me specifically (NOT to "Current Resident"). The one that came today has a hokey message that they "noticed some current issues with your neighbor's original windows" while they "recently completed a few projects close to your home". They apparently have time to remind me about the condition of neighboring homes, but cannot seem to remove my name from their mailing list! FYI--my neighbor's home, listed for sale in August WITH $30,000 worth of windows by Andersen, sold for $9,000 BELOW asking price.
DECEMBER 2017 UPDATE: I'm continuing to receive monthly correspondence from someone named "M J Macapagal, RSVP Manager" at telephone number 480-612-0700 with the same hokey message as above, month after month. Do NOT ask for an estimate from this company, because if you do not accept it, they will pester you with emails and correspondence--NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU TELL THEM TO STOP.
MARCH 2018 UPDATE: The correspondence still keeps coming. This company seems determined to keep harassing me, even though I have a full house of great new windows that were installed by another company last year.
