| - FOREWORD: i was distracted throughout most of this presentation because the woman talking at us had a lot of photos up, including several of young teen girls, showing what a great time they were having on their 'vacation'. I commented to my husband that in one of the pictures, the girl was showing SO MUCH CLEAVAGE that it made me uncomfortable. When the sales pitch lady said it was her DAUGHTER i had to bury the urge to question her ethics regarding essentially pimping out her daughter to sell timeshares. sorry for that rant but it was incredible to see what depth's someone will go to to get a sale.
NOW FOR THE REVIEW: We went into this knowing it was going to be a sales pitch, but they promised two round trip tickets to one 25 very random airports and I'm not a fancy flyer so i didn't care ..we weren't sure what they would be pitching because 'tony tyler' and 'stacey McMillan' who, for such common names sure did have strong foreign sounding accents, wouldn't tell us. We were marginally impressed and had some very relevant questions, but every time we asked a question, it seemed like the question was met with what I can only define as a passive-aggressive way of making us feel incredibly stupid.
At some point, after going through the round -abouts of several different people trying to get us to change our mind, 'the closer' came in and tried to pitch us on one last 'deal'..he simultaneously tried to give us the bargain basement price while telling us that he's 'been doing this for ten years' and can 'tell when I'm not being told the truth'..I steamed for about ten seconds before this pot boiled over and i responded with a terse and condescending response. Had I not been waiting for our 'free' gifts I would have said some stronger language and walked out. Instead, I pulled my phone out and started scanning Facebook while he wrapped up his last ditch effort. I caught our initial sales pitch woman as she hauled ass out the door to leave the office and told her the guy was a total a-hole and our potential purchase left the second he opened his mouth. She couldn't have cared less, turned 180 degrees on her incredibly office-inappropriate high heels and bolted. Looking back, maybe that's why she had photos of her teenage daughter up in the first place. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
