OK - so this is my fourth trip to Cleveland (from Austin, TX) in the last two months, and I've been trying out all the restaurants that I can. I've finally found the place I want to go every night.
There is something about the vibe in this place - the staff all seems happy and genuinely interested in serving you well, not becasue they have to, but because they want to. I want to know your secret management - how do you hire these people?
And the food is great - I love the drumsticks (instead of wings) and the burgers are awesome. Friday night I had some beef tacos from their seasonal Cajin menu, and they were outstanding. Last night I had boneless wings and some traditional wings, and they were delicious.
I'm not a beer connoisseur, but the staff steered me in the right direction (to the Market Garden Pilsner) and now I order it every time I go. I think they've got over 100 beers available, most of which are bottles.
They've also got an extensive whiskey menu, which only adds to the appeal.
My only complaint is that the parking lot is (understandably) always full every single night. I'm not surprised that I'm not the only one who loves Winking Lizard.
I'll see y'all tonight!
