  • Did this last night via Groupon (Nighttime Happy Hour for 2). There's a bag check you have to go through before you get to a small bar, then someone by a doorway leading up to the ferris wheel scans your ticket, go through a little maze line, get your pictures taken in front of a green screen (2 pictures) and finally depending on what kind of ticket you purchased (either with or without the open bar option), you wait in one of two lines and wait to board a pod while it's still moving so watch your step! Had way too many people in the pod we were in (about 16). ID had to be shown to the bartender to receive a small plastic cup you had to reuse. Liquor and mixers on board was limited but enough to make what most people drink anyway. Beers are domestic only (Coors Light, Bud Light, Budweiser, etc.). I managed to get in 2 mixed drinks and a shot. Great views of the Vegas strip and the not-so-much there side. After the 30 minute ride was over you exit the still moving pod (watch your step!), walk down a few ramps and into the photo sales area. You can purchase one picture with a black book frame for $30 or get 2 frames with 3 pictures for $50 (extremely overpriced but like a tourist with a "for memories sake" mentality, I took the bait and $50 lighter). You then proceed through a gift shop and exit the building. Overall the experience was just OK and more than likely won't do it again for the price I paid for.
