| - Never again will I send a package from this or ANY USPS....
First, I went there during most everyone's lunch time, between 12 and 1. But, that appears to be the same time ALL but one OF THE CLERKS AT THE POST OFFICE take their lunch, also. Seriously. While waiting in a line of a dozen or so, for one clerk, at 1:00 magically four more show up. You'd think they could spread it out a bit, or choose a different time from WHEN EVERY OTHER PERSON IN TOWN TAKES THEIR LUNCH to run their errands.
THEN, the handle of the box I was carrying tore. The cost to ship to California was $52, not guaranteed (10 days) by Christmas, (it would have cost $25 more to have it guaranteed,) then I requested a piece of tape to repair the torn box...this piece was sticking straight out, and my contents could be seen through the tear. The clerk said 'NO'...seriously, one 8 inch piece of tape....no. I would have to buy a roll ($6) and repair it myself. No, concern whatsoever to my package, or that it could get mangled and disrupt delivery.
I am KICKING MYSELF. I wish I had immediately taken my package back, and gotten an immediate refund (holding up the now growing line) even more...announcing that I would TAKE IT BACK HOME TO FIX IT...and then I would take it to UPS or FedEx and give them my money...because they would have GIVEN ME AN 8 INCH PIECE OF TAPE.
I'm sure it's some STUPID STUPID policy...but, it just proves that YOU DO NOT GIVE A SH*T about your customers...
